On Date of 5. April the 78th US Infantry Division moved to new positions at the Siegriver. The regiment 310 moved into positions in Betzdorf. Betzdorf was defended by Infantryregiment 1035 of 59th Volksgrenadier Division under Generallieutenant Hans-Kurt Höcker (right Picture). The Commander of the regiment was Major Mehrgardt.

The right Neighbour was provide of the 62nd Volksgrenadier Division by Grenadierregiment 183 followed by regiment 164. The regiment 190 was divisionreserve.
